Independent Horror Author and Filmmaker

James M Watjen is an Independent horror author with two published books, The Vermin Sleep (Nightmare Press) and The Restless Few (Anuci Press). His written work has been featured on horror media platforms like Rue Morgue Magazine, DailyDead.com, HorrorTree.com, and Indie Horror Junkie Magazine, establishing his presence in the horror literary community.

Apart from the horror lit realm, James also is an indie filmmaker as well. He has written, directed, and produced two successful short films, SHOES (Troma Entertainment | Troma Now! VOD Service) and The D Word (Cineverse | Bloody Bites TV Series | Season 12 Episode 2). His work in film has garnered him recognition through various film festival awards including the Best First Time Director Award at the 2024 Chicago Horror Film Festival for The D Word.
